What’s a “peelie” coupon?

by LisaB on June 25, 2011

If you’re not familiar with the term “peelie” we’d like to take a moment to tell you about them.

“Peelie” is coupon lingo for peel-off-style-coupons typically found on packages or products at the grocery store.  Shoppers (like you and I) can peel off peelies and file them in our coupon box for future use. (Or maybe you’d like to use it right away!)

For example, I bought these Chi-Chi’s tortillas and there was a “peelie” for 55¢ off a Real California Cheese product.

Oh guess what? Underneath the peelie there was another surprise waiting for me!

There was a recipe for Garden Vegetable Enchiladas.
